This song is based on the July'06 Lebanon war. It was a 34-day military conflict in Lebanon and northern Israel. The conflict killed more than a thousand people, most of whom were Lebanese civilians; severely damaged Lebanese infrastructure; and displaced 974,184 Lebanese and 300,000-500,000 Israelis. After the ceasefire, some parts of Southern Lebanon remained uninhabitable due to unexploded cluster bombs.
The objective behind this post is to remind people of the bloodshed that happens in a War. God knows whatever happened to all those "War-free world" talks. Whoever reads this blog, please watch the video and pass it on to your friends if possible, atleast in that way we can send a message of peace. And as great "John lennon" said, 'All we are saying is give peace a chance'

Team India Bucknored!!

Yes, i mean it, the Umpires bowled out India in the Sydney Test... It was a collective effort by the Australian team & the umpires to win the test match and lead the series.... The 11 Indian men were battling to save the test against 13 Men, 11 Australians and 2 Umpires...Oops, Did i forget the 3rd Umpire, that makes it 14 players in Team Australia....
I still Believe India gave a good fight, Hats off to Skipper Anil Kunble for his determined innings of 45, he ran out of companies to save the test.
Now, its time to talk about the Man-of-the-match, Steve Bucknor... His brilliant performance on the field was really commendable.. and his partnership with the England Umpire Mark Benson is something which will remain unbroken in the record books for ages to come.
It started on Day 1 after Andrew symmonds' huge nick was given not out, the 3rd umpire saying not out for a clear-cut stumping decision, and the great Steve Bucknor ruling down a stumping decision which was also out. And the batsmen, the controversial Andrew Symmonds, he went on to score 163.... Had it not been for the umpire's favours towards Symmonds, Australia would have been out for a small score and India could have easily dominated the match from there...
The 5th day completely belonged to the 2 umpires for Dravid's & Ganguly's decision.. Dravid given out caught behind when the ball was not even close to his bat, and Ganguly out for a catch which was not cleanly taken. The height of that decision was, Umpire Benson asking Ricky ponting if the catch was cleanly taken or not.
This is not the first time, the umpires are bias with the Australian team. This has been happening for over 3 decades now. And its high time, ICC takes some action against it. When a player is penalized for excessive appealing, ball tampering, sledging, or absolutely anything. My question is why the Umpires aren't? Strict actions should be taken against Steve Bucknor, he's done enough for the game of cricket, i believe its time for him to retire or ruled out of the game.
This was just a small article to remove my frustration, and i know there are lot more people who are frustrated like me. So please go ahead and post your comments here, let us make a difference.

Everybody wants to change their life, their neighbourhood, the system, society, politicians, the world.. But, only few go ahead take the first step. So, this blog is to address matter of concern, issues, debates, arguments. Be it political, general or absolutely anything.. If you feel, something needs to be changed, go ahead and take the first step or atleast post a topic here, let someone else try and make the change for you.
Things wont move until you start doing it, so take that first step, the first step towards change, and trust me things will be different. We have seen movies like Rang de basanti, but nothing seems to be learnt from them. I am not saying, we are running away from our social responsibilities, We are just too lazy to act or react, Just a little bit of effort from all of us and the world will be a better place to live.
So, i shall conclude, or rather start with few lines from the great Bob Marley song....
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: don't give up the fight!
Preacherman, don't tell me,
Heaven is under the earth.
I know you don't knowWhat life is really worth.
It's not all that glitters is gold;
Half the story has never been told:
So now you see the light, eh!
Stand up for your rights. Come on!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: don't give up the fight!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: don't give up the fight!
Most people think,Great God will come from the skies,
Take away everything
And make everybody feel high.
But if you know what life is worth,
You will look for yours on earth:
And now you see the light,
You stand up for your rights. Jah!
